King Ahaz of Judah
Another king mentioned by Isaiah is King Ahaz of Judah, who ruled from 732-716 BCE.
2 Chronicles 28:1 says,
“Ahaz was twenty years old when he became king, and he reigned sixteen years in Jerusalem. He did not do what was pleasing to the L-RD as his father David had done.”
This clay bulla, found in 1995, contains a Hebrew inscription that reads, “Belonging to Ahaz (son of) Yehotam, King of Judah.”
