The Wickedness of King Manasseh
The extent of King Manasseh’s wickedness is seen by him placing a sculptured image of the pagan goddess Asherah in the Holy Temple.
2 Kings 21: 6-7...[Manasseh] did much that was displeasing to the L-RD, to vex Him. The sculptured image of Asherah that he made, he placed in the House (the Temple).
Pictured here is a Bronze Asherah fertility idol with the mold it was cast in, which can be viewed at the Israel Museum in Jerusalem.
