Joseph's Coat Brought to Jacob by Rembrandt
The brothers took Joseph’s coat that Jacob gave him, tore it, and dipped it in blood to make it look like he was devoured by a wild animal.
Genesis 37:32-33
They sent the coat of many colors to their father and said, "We found this. Examine it to see whether it is your son’s coat or not. "His father recognized it and said, "It is my son’s coat! A vicious animal has devoured him. Joseph has surely been torn to pieces!"
