King Hoshea of Israel
2 Kings 17:1 In the twelfth year of Ahaz king of Judah, Hoshea the son of Elah became king over Israel in Samaria and reigned nine years.
King Hoshea of Israel, ruled from 732-723 BCE and was the last King of the Northern kingdom. The Bible records:“King Shalmaneser (the fifth) of Assyria marched against him, and Hoshea became his vassal and paid him tribute.” 2 Kings 17:3
