"Belonging to Amotz"
This 8th Century BCE sherd from a jar is inscribed "Belonging to Amotz," the same name as Isaiah's father. The inscription was found in 1966 in the first year of the excavation at Tel Dan in the Northern Galilee.
Isaiah 2:1-2
The word that Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem. And it shall come to pass in the end of days, that the mountain of the L-RD'S house shall be established as the top of the mountains and shall be exalted above the hills; and all nations shall flow unto it.
