Jewish Dye and Textile
Excavations at Ein Marzev, today known as Ein Yahav, have uncovered high-quality textiles, including cotton with silk and silver threads, suggesting the site was involved in trade along the historical Incense Road.
Jewish artisans were involved in its production, notably controlling the trade of indigo dye and weaving in the later Central Asian period.
These fragments showed local yarn spun with the S-spun technique, the dominant spin direction in use for thousands of years in the Land of Israel.
