Ashurnasirpal II, King of Assyria
Ashurnasirpal II was king of Assyria from 883 to 859 BCE. He was the first Assyrian king to attack the countries that bordered the Mediterranean Sea. After his death, his son, Shalmaneser III attacked Israel.
