Bernhard Von Breidenbach visit Israel
Bernhard Von Breidenbach, a German aristocrat, travelled the Land in 1483 CE. In his book, Pilgrimage to the Holy Land, published in 1486 CE, he attests to the presence of 500 Hebrew-speaking Jews in Jerusalem and also mentions Jews in Hebron.
He writes:
“They (the Jews) will treat you (the travelers) in full fidelity - more so than anyone else in those countries of the unbelievers.”
