Italian Jewish businessman Meshullam ben Menahem writes of his Travels to Israel in 1481 CE. He mentions Jewish house- and property-owners in Gaza, Hebron, and Jerusalem.
He also mentions that Jerusalem has no walls and was very much in ruins, with about 250 Jewish households.
