Very Few Arabs in the Land of Israel
In his book “Whose Land? A History of the Peoples of Palestine”, Reverend Dr James Parkes writes that “apart from the Bedouin [a tent dwelling nomadic Arab tribe] in the earliest days, the only Arabs west of the Jordon were the garrisons.”
Overview
“During the first century after the Arab conquest, the caliph and governors of Syria and the Holy Land ruled entirely over Christian and Jewish subjects.
Apart from the Bedouin in the earliest days, the only Arabs west of the Jordan were the garrisons.”
