Here is a picture of an Egyptian Execration or “Curse” Doll that contains the First Mention of Jerusalem, circa. 1800 BCEThe Inscription mentions a curse on the king of Jerusalem:

“The Ruler of Rushalimum, Setj-’Anu, and all the retainers who are with him…”

In Genesis, we read the account of Abram meeting the King of Jerusalem, which at that time was referred to as Salem or in Hebrew “Shalem”.

Genesis 14:18-19

“And Melchizedek king of Salem brought out bread and wine; He blessed him and said,“ Blessed be Abram of G-d Most High, Possessor of heaven and earth…”
