Pilgrim’s Guidebook to Jerusalem
A letter from the Cairo Geniza, describing the topography of Jerusalem, was written by a Jew in Arabic with Hebrew letters and likely served as a guidebook for pilgrims.
The document was likely written in the first half of the tenth century, when Jews were still allowed to pray at the gates of the Temple Mount.

Scrolls from the Cairo Genizah describing the topography of Jerusalem, the circuit followed by Jewish pilgrims and the Jewish prayers they recited at each of the gates of the Temple Mount possibly as part of a guide for pilgrims written in Arabic in Hebrew letters by a Jew.
Most likely written in the first half of the 10th Century when Jews were still permitted to pray at one of the gates to Temple Mount.
